nets for shapes

Introduction: in maths we are working from a rubric were we pick a topic thingy and then do an activity on it my group decided to do this one: Create accurate nets for simple polyhedra and connect three-dimensional solids with different two-dimensional representations. to do this we make some nets and turned them into shapes

D.L.O:

Reflection: I liked doing this one until I had to make the cube because it was to small.

trigonometric ratios poster

Introduction: in maths we are working from a rubric were we pick a topic thingy and then do an activity on it my group decided to do this one: Apply trigonometric ratios and Pythagoras’ theorem in two dimensions. to do this we decided to work as a group and make a poster to help people learn SOH CAH TOA

DLO: here is the poster we made

Reflection: I didn't mind doing this one I think we could have done something a bit different but I like this kind of thing.

SST

In social studys at the moment we are learning about the native Australians and how they were treated

Think about all the stories you have just heard and read, what are your thoughts about the impacts these events have had on their lives - Write 4-5 sentences on a blog post:
I think these stories are really sad and that the people get impacted for life. Because of these things and that it can ruin their lives. They lose who they are and their families. And forced into a place they didn’t belong I think that the whites could have handled the situation much better

sorry it's not very good

word art

Introduction: in maths we are working from a rubric were we pick a topic thingy and then do an activity on it my group decided to do this one: Use the invariant properties of figures and objects under transformations (reflection, rotation, translation, or enlargement). to do this we had to work by our self's and I made a world art thing on WordArt.com Word Cloud Art Creator

DLO:
                                                               (the words inside it)

Tomorrow, when the war began 2

5/9/18

What is the Hermit’s mother in law’s attitude toward him as seen in her letter? She stands by his story fully and that she sees that his story is the only way they could have died.

What does this suggest about the way in which the Hermit’s family actually died? I still stand by that he is innocent and that he only shot them to put them out of misery

What makes Ellie change her mind about Lee on the way back from the Hermit’s hut? The coroner’s report and that it had no emotions in it and she doesn't want to end up like that.

6/9/19

Why does Ellie feel uncomfortable with Chris bringing cigarettes and alcohol into Hell? Because they are under aged to drink and she don’t see the point and she is scared that they will keep getting them

What is meant by a “clean war”? Why are the invaders so intent on having a ‘clean war’? A clean war means that they are being nice and not killing for killing sakes they are doing it so they don’t have blood on their hands and other people don’t get involved

What happened to the soldiers involved in the lawnmower incident, according to Robyn? How does this make Ellie feel? Two of them died and we don’t know about the third one Ellie feels bad about this and guilty.

Why do you think prisoners are sent to clean up the houses around town? So the invaders can send their own people in to live there and people will not complain

What does Kevin want to bring into Hell by way of livestock? Do you think his idea is a good one? Why/why not He wants to bring in ferrets I think it is a bad idea because they damage the wild by eating eggs and small birds and things like that.

7/9/19

What does Ellie find primarily attractive about Lee? His brains

Who is she attracted to physically? Homer and Lee a little

What are the group’s options according to Homer? 1. Do nothing and wait until it blows over 2. Go to the showground and get their family's back 3. Do something to help but don’t fight them selfs

What do they decide to do and why? They decide to do option three because they know that doing nothing will be torture and they can’t get their parents so that is they only thing they really can do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13/9/18

What makes Ellie think the soldiers walking past them are professionals? They are very well formed and they do things well and efectinet

What do the soldiers fire at in the bushes? A baby rabbit

What are some clues that the group is starting to think ‘more like soldiers’? They know were thy will be looking and how to kill them in the car

Do you think Homer’s plan will work? What problems do you think they might encounter? Getting the petrol to light and blow up the tanker

What does Homer suggest they do when the group goes up to the Heron? Blow up the bridge

What are his strategies to put his plan into action? Get the cattle to stamped and then get the tanker under the bridge and bow it up

Why is Ellie nervous about being paired with Fi? Because she doesn't have as much experience with doing physical things unlike Ellie

What is true courage according to Ellie? Doing something even though you are scared

Were her concerns about Fi realised? Explain. No because they never get mentioned again

What is a clue that Fi’s relationship with Homer is becoming serious? Homer told Fi that he loves her even with Lee and Ellie listening

What problems do Fi and Ellie encounter on their mission to bring the tanker to the appropriate place under the bridge? How do they deal with these problems they get caught up with a patrol and the tanker is nosey and they almost died because they didn’t have brakes.

It was fun to make I liked it I think it was a good idea I don't know what else to say. I think next time I would get my friends to help her more and do something about the DLO going weird.

how to read a map

Introduction: in maths we are working from a rubric were we pick a topic thingy and then do an activity on it my group decided to do this one: Use a coordinate system or the language of direction and distance to specify locations and describe paths.

DLO:

Reflection: during this time I have been working on the poster and Alicia did the drawing for it wile Djarn and Caleb has been working on the blog post
