Maths A.P.V

Introduction: In maths we have been learning about Area, Perimeter and Volume (A.P.V for short) we had to make a poster on it witch I found fun. I learnt what area is and how to work it out I don't really know if I found anything interesting but I did like making the poster.

DTE app

Introduction: 
In DTE at the moment my friends and I  are developing an app for people getting into gaming which was Casey's idea which Caleb and I took and made the app 
we chose what our app was going to be by going on Padlet and brainstorming all our ideas then voted on the ones we liked the most we decided to make an app to help people get into gaming. 

Still using Padlet we put up ideas of what we should add to the app like terminology, platforms, helpful tips e,t,c.Once that was done we got to work on actually developing the app which was easy thanks to the program known as code.org app lab.
Reflection: 
I learnt how to work Code.org because I went through the tutorial on there and that if you tell Nivvy that he is distraction he will take it very seriously by showing you lots of things and not leaving you alone but I don't know how our work showed that maybe just the fact that we made an app on Code shows that we learnt how to code on it.

For what people did, Caleb and I did most of the work with coding and coming up with ideas but Casey helped near the end (still not much) and Nivvy was just a distraction (but that was his job). We managed changes and disagreements by explaining why we did it and just getting on with life but I wouldn't have said we had many disagreements, all in all I liked working with my group but I am sure it helps that we are friends anyway and I would work with these people again.  

We did get our app completed witch was good. We did change some things (but that is expected) e.g adding more pages and cutting down the number of tips we have. What have I gotten from this? I don't know if I really got anything out of this expect that my group will work really fast if the work is fun (i.e our app) I like our app though I think it looks really good and has some good bits mixed with some fun nonsense (e.g types of Gamers that was fun to do) also Caleb did a really good job on making the app look good (even with the problems of the pictures not working)

SEXXY paragraphs 2

I had to write another paragraph today in English here it is:
S: You can see what Geel Piet and Sargent Borman are felling in the shot
E: You can see that Sargent Borman is angry so you think that Geel Piet will get in trouble
X:The director does this so you know that Geel Piet is in trouble and he knows it
X: This makes the audience feel fear for Geel Piet and anger towers Sargent Borman
Y:This shows that sargent Borman hates Geel Piet like when he is about to confront him about the bucket.

Stone age

The link to my poster  In social study's at the moment we have been learning about the stone age and we had to make a poster about one of the stone ages (Paleolithic and Neolithic) I did the latter and it was about just what they had then. the main differences in the two is Neolithic was more advanced.

SEXXY paragraphs

in English at the moment we have been doing a film study on the power of one and we had to write a SEXXY paragraph in groups on a long shot in the movie (there is a spoiler at the end so if you haven't seen the movie and want to don't read the very last piece)

S: The director uses a long shot to show sergeant Borman looking at Geel Piet.
E: For example in the long shot we see sergeant borman is being suspicious because he has his baton
by his side so you get the feeling that Geel Piet is going to be in trouble.
X:The director does this because it shows us that the sergeant knows something is off and thinks it is
because of Geel piet.
X:The effect on the audience is that they feel a sense of danger for Geel Piet because they know he has
done something wrong and that he will be in trouble and the audience doesn’t want him to be in trouble.

Y:We get the same feeling of danger when Geel Piet is telling sergeant Borman what the song means
before he dies.

Are kids addicted to their phone?

In social study's we have been talking about kids being addicted to their phones so I wrote a paragraph about it I did get a bit carried away sorry but I hope you will get what I am saying.


Lots of children today are addicted to their phones. I think this is because they do so much on them I have a friend who says their life on their phone. Also people nowadays get their first phone really young sometimes four years old now what is a four year old going to do with a phone and it is also a touch screen. So I think they are addicted because it is all they have ever had they have had them since they are little so they do everything on them and they can’t bear to lose it and that is a bit sad but it is not just kids adults have the same problem. But anyway that is why I think people are addicted to their phone.

I didn't say this in my paragraph because it was getting a bit long but adults have the same problem but every one is looking at the kids your parents tell you to go out side a get off your phone wile they are on their phone so I think we should look at the adults as well.

here is an other one I wrote which might be a bit better
I think most students are addicted to their phone. This is a problem because they are not paying attention in class and they are just in their own little world. Steve Gardiner says that most teenagers can’t go 57 minutes without looking at their phone it is like their security blanket. even in my class wile we have been talking about this at least 3 people were on their phone and that was all that got caught it it just really sad because they are not paying attention in class so they don’t learn. But I also think that it is mean to say everyone is addicted because that is not true only about 75% of teenagers are addicted. And that is why I say most students are addicted to their phone.
