History has no value in today's society:
I strongly disagree with this statement for a couple of reasons 1. Someone said “those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it” so if you say that history has no value in today's society that means that the mistakes that people made in the past don’t matter so we are more than likely to repeat them. 2. People died and you are saying that that doesn’t matter, there were horrible wars eg WW1 and WW2 and you saying that that doesn't matter you might just as well spit on their graves and that is just horrible. 3. You learn so much from history you can learn about people like Julie d’Aubigny who had an amazing life there has been no one like her and if we don’t learn history or ignore that happened you miss out on the best stories ever. That is why I think the statement history has no value in today's society is completely and utterly wrong.
Old buildings should get knocked down to make room for new ones:
I strongly disagree with this statement old buildings are beautiful and should be protected. Most of these old buildings were hand made so a lot of time and effort went into them. If there's nothing wrong with them why get rid of them they have so many stories linked to them so why would you get rid of that bit of history. People worked their entire lives on these buildings so why should we get rid of them.
Swimming lessons should be compulsory for all students:
I agree with this statement to a degree I think it should be compulsory to all primary school students and then in high school it becomes optional the reason for this. Is in primary school you can teach them the basics so if they fell into a lake they can swim to safety and they are not afraid of the water and then if they want to continue then they can in high school. This we can decrease the number of kids that drown each year and that is why I think swimming lessons should be compulsory for all students up to high school.
To reduce congestion all private vehicles should be banned in busy cities:
I disagree with this statement for a couple of reasons 1. It just makes no sense hw is this going to fix the problem unless every starts to take busses that adds problems in itself. 2. What do they take instead if they have to take a bus then what if where they are going is not on the bus route? Then do they have to take a taxi if so those are very expensive and that don’t seem like a good idea to put this big expense on people if you don’t need to. 3. What do you class as a ‘busy city’ because you would have to have some way to measure that and I don’t know how you would do that. 4. How do you enforce it? Unless you have a police officer waiting on roads looking for private vehicles and what if they are just passing through do they still get the punishment because it is a private vehicle. And that is why I disagree with this statement.
I disagree with this statement because if they can go anywhere then the countries that are close or are ‘good’ will get lots of people and become overcrowded also were will we give them shelter and whose job will it be to make sure these people have shelter and food. I do think they should get taken care of but I don’t think they should be able to be able to go anywhere they want.
Old buildings should be preserved for future generations to enjoy:
I agree with this statement because old buildings are amazing pieces of art and should be looked after. With the artwork in these buildings along with the history who wouldn’t want to keep them and be able to enjoy them in the future.
