we are learning about how to describe places in our writing to do this we had to take a description of a place from a book and add on to it here are mine

Big Sur by Jack Kerouac
“On soft Spring nights I’ll stand in the yard under the stars — Something good will come out of all things yet — And it will be golden and eternal just like that — There’s no need to say another word.”

my bit
and yet seeing the ocean with the cliffs around it you almost have to say more. It was a beautiful view. the ocean was a dark blue, the cliffs were green with plants. I felt like I could look at that view all day

this is the picture I based my description on:
bixby canyon

I didn't really like doing this because I felt like there was no need to add on what was being said and my writing was bad so it would ruin it. But I hope you liked it.

  1. Your bit certainly doesn't ruin it, Rosa. The activity is meant to inspire you, but I see how you might feel like the writing doesn't need to be added to. I am enjoying reading your creative writing this year, and it is exciting watching you improve by the day. Keep up your effort and focus; ka rawe :)

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
